 |
Direct Inside Mount
A Direct Mount to the inside of the window is the simplest mounting option. Your shutter will be mounted directly to the window jam.
Hinges should not be mounted directly to drywall, but rather to the window jam.

L-Frame Inside Mount
A L-Frame/Inside Mount can be mounted on top of existing window jam or directly to drywall. The L-Frame is mounted directly to drywall or window jam.

 |
Hanging Strip Inside Mount
An Hanging Strip/Inside Mount can be mounted either on top of existing window trim or directly to your drywall. They provide a no-frame look for windows that do not have existing trim. The hanging strip frame is mounted directly to drywall (or existing trim), and then your shutters are mounted to the hanging strip using offset hinges.

 |
L-Frame Outside Mount
A L-Frame/Outside Mount is a very popular mounting option. The L-Frame can be mounted either directly to drywall, on top of existing trim, or outside existing trim.
|
 |
Z-Frame Inside Mount
A Z-Frame/Inside Mount can be mounted on top of existing window trim work or directly to drywall. If windows do not have existing trim, the Z-Frame/Inside Mount can provide a finished look.

Hanging Strip Outside Mount
An Hanging Strip/Outside Mount can be mounted either on top of existing window trim or directly to your drywall. They provide an excellent option when an inside mount is not possible and you want the shutters to protrude as little as possible from the wall.
