How to measure for Hurricane/Security Shutters
- Decide where you would like to mount your shade, either inside or outside of the exterior window frame or area. You will require a minimum of 2” for a inside mount but the “pack” will still project out of the window area.
- Use a metal tape measure and measure the width of the area where the shutter will be mounted. Measuring is very important, do your best to accurately measure to the nearest 1/8”. Measure the length and width of the area, top to bottom. The shutter travels down within side rails which will be included in the measurement. We can also provide a “base rail” for the bottom.
- When ordering advise us which way you measured for your shutter; Inside or outside. We will make the necessary allowances and additions required.
